Still no Moving Files/Folders to Trash call?

Please forgive this email for rehashing old subject...

I wish to move into the Trash a Folder of files and/or group of Files. I checked the Cocoa Dev List archive, and read the posting, but most of them are over 2-3 years old. What is the best method for Mac OS 10.3? Should I use a performFileOperation with NSWorkspaceRecycleOperation (which the archive says has some bugs) or should I use an AppleEvent to tell the Finder to move to trash (which is may not always be runnin)? Or is there a better approach in the newer Mac OS? I was a bit surprised that this simple operation did not have a more direct function call.

Thanks,

Steve Sheets
