Also many installers contain scripts that tweak things outside of the files installed, so you would have to understand what those scripts may have done and reverse them (if possible).
The better route to take is to snapshot a system before an install in a way that you could roll back to that snapshot if needed after install (products exist in this space with differing levels of sophistication.
