I'm working my way through the book, too, and it works fine on my end. I've
found a few places where I forget key steps (or glance over them), and the
program doesn't behave like it should. I'm guessing you didn't set the
action (or is it outlet...I forget!) correctly from the preferences menu
item. Check the connections, as that might be the problem. Anyway, the
best idea is to go back over the code step-by-step from the book and re-do
the necessary steps to ensure you did them correctly.
