Attachment in an NSTextView

Hi All!

I have an NSTextView and want to be able to add attachments, then later open them if possible.
I had read in the Apple documentation that NSTextView handles this automatically, but apparently the handling of saving attachments is all that is automatic,,,, I think.

I just want to be able to include an attachment in an NSTextView, then later detach it, or open it.
Have combed the web, expecting this to be a simple solution, but not quite.

Can anyone direct me to a tutorial that includes adding attachments to an NSTextView? Or, documentation with sample code?
