Nevertheless one presumes there is code in there that measures the drawing
size of the (attributed) string and uses this as the rectangle to draw into.
I think there are some pretty deep-seated bugs in the code that does that.
I've seen cropping at the right just when doing an ordinary
sizeWithAttributes (i.e. the size returned was slightly too small) even when
not using italics. m.
