Disabling NSTableView's big black editing box?

  • Subject: Disabling NSTableView's big black editing box?

I searched the archives for this and couldn't find an answer...

I noticed that, when a cell in an NSTableView is being edited and the window is put into the background, the NSTableView draws a big black editing box around the cell. Is there any way to disable the drawing of this box without ending the editing, and if so, how? I already tried overriding -highlightSelectionInClipRect: and that didn't do it...
