The cog-wheel? I think it's just an image, and not a character at all. Look through the Resource folder of OmniOutliner, I'll bet you'll find it there, or in one of the embedded frameworks.

Whereabouts is the character that apps like XCode and OmniOutliner use for their "action" pull-down menus? It's also used in the Text panel... But I can't find it anywhere in the Unicode table. Am I just blind?
