Thanks, for this-- it looks pretty similar to what I was trying to put together.
I think I may keep pushing through with my own class though-- the mistake I just make kinda tells me I should get a little more practice playing with low level I/O... Nice to have some example code to fall back on, though, in case I make a mistake like that last one.
