Setting value on manual bind?

  • Subject: Setting value on manual bind?

When implementing bind:toObject:..., should I also be setting the
value in self to the initial value in the observed object? I've
noticed with other people's implementations that it isn't set, but
those implementations don't seem to pick up the original value.

Could someone on the Cocoa team shed some light on how, for instance,
NSTextField implements this?

Thanks,
James
