NSToolbarItem's nextResponder

  • Subject: NSToolbarItem's nextResponder

I have an NSTextField that I'm using for an NSToolbarItem. I want my app to receive mouseMoved events at pretty well all times. Unfortunately, that isn't happening when that text field is selected. Is there anything I can do? From what I could see the nextResponder was an NSToolbarListener or something, and that didn't have any nextResponder to pass events to. If I don't receive an answer, I'll assume it can't be done since I did a search with the terms 'NSToolbar' and 'responder', and the 13 results that came up didn't help.
