Proxy User/Password *required* setting? Where is it?

  • Subject: Proxy User/Password *required* setting? Where is it?

Hi list,

How do I know that a specific network proxy needs a username/password?

I know how to get the current proxy config, I also know how to get the user/password for a specific proxy, but if I add a username/password to a proxy in the Network Prefs, then uncheck the box "Password required", then I can not find this setting, and the username/password is still in the KeyChain.

Where do I have to look?

Thanks,
Stephan
