The text system treats a form feed as a page break. That means it
moves layout from one text container to the next. To see it in action
you'll need multiple text containers, and they need to be shorter than
the default (very large) height. Try TextEdit in wrap-to-page mode;
control-Q control-L will insert a form feed.
