Custom class bindings

How do I get the bindable values for my custom class to show up in Interface Builder? The examples I've found so far seem to assume that this is already done.

I'm making a view that displays a row of selectable icons (like the top of iSync's main window) and I want to bind that view's selection index to the selection index of an NSArrayController. This is my first real attempt at using bindings.
