XML and encoding

Hi,

i'm currently trying to use the (famous?) Iconara DOM framework in my software but it seems that everytime i load an xml file with accentuated letters i can't write them back to an other file (they look like gibberish, like with some encoding problems).
The source file is utf-8 encoded (<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>) and the letters look like this:

"Pour l'\'8etat civil, Yoko Tsuno est japonaise. Pour le C.V., elle est \'8electronicienne"

Why is Iconara DOM unable to preserve the integrity of my file ? Is it a framework problem or a coding error from myself ?

Thanks,
Pierre
