Your two questions were really silly RTFM-questions, and your first one about a global array of floats actually has nothing to do with Cocoa. Learn Java before you try to use it, please.

The hardest part of all your questions was getting the color of a pixel in an NSImage, and even that you could have found out by simply entering "pixel color NSImage" into a Google search field. The third result already was a complete walkthrough at MacOSXGuru you'd just have to follow.
