I don't think gcc2 is even included anymore with Xcode 2.1, you
probably have it left over from some old Developer Tools install,
which would explain why it's broken.

I haven't seen my own post so I am trying again. Apologies is this
is a double.
When I try to compile a standard hello world
#include <stdio.h>
main()
{
printf( "Hello, world!\n");
}
with gcc2, I get
$ gcc2 -o test test.c
cpp: specs=/usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/2.95.2/specs: No such file
or directory
$ ll /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/2.95.2/specs
-r--r--r-- 1 wheel 5230 Feb 18 2004 /usr/libexec/gcc/darwin/ppc/
2.95.2/specs
It seems to be there but gcc complains. Can someone confirm for me
this is indeed happening on their 10.4.1/Xcode 2.1 ssystem?
$ gcc-3.3 -o test test.c
works fine.
Thanks,
