Hmmm. OK.

I ended up reverting to NSFileManager subPathsOfPath. It's much slower, but it gives more access and more control than Spotlight. Maybe if I muster the ambition, a Spotlight plugin for ".strings" files would be the best solution...

except that you still won't see them if they're inside a document bundle (there are some exceptions to that rule mind you... but nothing you should rely on.
