Core Video does not provide capture or digitalization services - it
provides buffer management and buffer synchronization services (mostly).
QuickTime really is the way to go, and so I suggest you try finding
what is wrong with your SequenceGrabber code. Perhaps ask some
questions on the QuickTime list.

Dear list,
My application wants to capture frames from a digital camera
asynchronously (not periodically). I was trying to use SequenceGrabber
and/or VideoDigitizer, but it did not work. Does anyone have any idea
if Core Video will work better? I am developing the apps on Tiger.
Thanks,
