A Framework for a source-code editor ?

Well, the subject covers it all...

Is there a framework that provides a 'control' for source-code ? The objective is to have a few useful features like
- syntax highlighting
- margin with marginal symbol
- margin with line numbers
- possibly contextual menu on the selection (if it goes that far)

Essentially, I am looking for a framework that would provide a source- code editor (a source-code viewer would be good already!) similar to what we enjoy in Xcode....

Thanks!
