Thus, they most likely go to the NSWindow reference document and expect to find all methods dealing with NSWindows there.

To address this one issue immediately, you can use the Class Browser in Xcode to list all the methods for a class (including inherited methods should you wish). If you show all methods for NSWindow in the class browser, the list includes setIsVisible:.
