That would be. You could then use FSCompareFSRefs on the resulting FSRefs to determine equality.

You can also do this by converting the path to an FSRef. But it appears the AliasData overrides the Path. Not even sure why the dock stores the path since Aliases search by path first.

Anywho, you shouldn't be reading the Dock prefs. The format is subject to change.
