NSArrayController "contentArray" binding not necessary ?

  • Subject: NSArrayController "contentArray" binding not necessary ?

I tried something with the "Bookmarks" example on mmalc bindings example page.
http://homepage.mac.com/mmalc/CocoaExamples/controllers.html

open "MyDocument.nib"
select the "DNDArrayController" NSArrayController and unbind its "contentArray".
build the app

you will see that the application still runs perfectly !

But then where is the content of the NSArrayController ?

I first thought that CoreData was the cause, but I also notice this on 10.3 !
