File inspector application : document based or not ?

I am writting a file inspector application.
Basically, this app needs to open only a certain type of files, and have one window for each file.
Without any hesitation, I chose the "Core Data document based application" template in Xcode, but now I have some doubts. With the data of the file, I create new NSManagedObjects, and when I close a document window, I am (naturally) asked if I want to save the changes made : the new managed objects added to the MOC.
As I said, my app is only an inspector, and I don't want to modify the files I am reading. Is my choice of a document based app right ?
