Like you say, this is unsupported and undocumented, and would not be
a good approach.

This is probably the best bet at finding something that could be
reliable and supported. That said, I think that you would end up with
something that would require your users to change their email
configurations, routines, et.c., too much to be a realistic alternative.
3. Mac OS X 10.4.x stores email messages in SQL
database ?? I look for changes to this database with
respect to Mail and then fetch the email from the
database for processing ?
Same comments apply as for your #1 above.
If you tell us more about what you're really trying to do, we might
think of some other way you could accomplish it.
