John:
Excellent suggestion - I thought of ReportMill, but dismissed it
because I (probably incorrectly) thought it was Java-only *and* it at
least *used to be* expensive (as in not free, so not bundled with dev
tools). Last I dealt with ReportMill was as a system administrator
maintaining a WO app that generates PDF reports.
The Java-only bit can be worked around easily enough. The cost,
however, might not be. :-)

What, specifically, do you mean?
I'm a former Delphi developer. So I'm used to a report generator
being bundled with my development tool. I wondering if there was
an existing framework, or third-party tool, for creating reports
based on Code Data data stores.
I've not looked at this in a long time, but you might want to see
if ReportMill does what you need.
