Address Book "primary IM" relationship points to what exactly?

  • Subject: Address Book "primary IM" relationship points to what exactly?

In the Address Book sync schema, the contact record has a relationship called "primary IM" that supposedly points to the primary IM account in a contact record.

But to what record does it really point? The Address Book has five different IM multi-values, each with its own primary identifier. That relationship could point to any of those possible five records if the contact has multiple IM accounts spanning multiple services. Which record does this relationship really point to, if any?
