Turning pure white pixels, transparant

If I have some gifs, loaded by [NSImage imageNamed], and I want to state that the perfect white (FF,FF,FF) pixels are transparent, how do I do this?

Currently, the white pixels are drawing over stuff.

I searched within NSImage docs, but couldn't see anything.
