I just learned that starting in Panther, you can obtain a Carbon- style WindowRef from an instance of NSWindow.
See NSWindow.h.


And starting in Tiger, the CFRunLoop is consolidated if you mix Cocoa and Carbon together.

Essentially, this means that you can really mix Carbon and Cocoa code within a single application.
