xcode keeps crashing when i compile

I am trying to compile a universal binary, and xcode keeps crashing. If i switch to PPC only builds, then xcode is ok. Everytime i compile a universal binary, I get an uncaught exception from xcode:

Application Specific Information:
** INTERNAL ERROR: Uncaught Exception **
Exception: *** +[NSArray arrayWithObject:]: attempt to insert nil

Has anyone else had this problem? My project is pretty basic, so i dont understand what would be causing it.
