Again, I was just trying to get a general idea. I also used a counter and steped it up each time the timer fired to be sure the timer was getting bogged down after I used the crude NSLog() method. Since the counter only got up to about five after about a minute, it was clear that the timer was not going 30 times a minute. I don't really care about the exact amount of times the timer fired, though.
