Chad:
It's unclear exactly what you're trying to do, but the full
documentation for System Services is located here:
http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/SysServices/
index.html
If you'd like to elaborate on what you're trying to accomplish,
someone might have a more specific answer for you than a 'read the
docs'. ;-) For now, though, this should answer most of your questions
on services.

The delegate for the application can detect and handle a variety of
requests, such as opening a file, or working on a set of files or
data, or just opening the application with no extra frills. Along
that line of thought, is there a special notification which is sent
to NSApp when a service (from the Service menu) is called, and if
so, what is the name of the notification, or how can it be recognized?
