Some options:
1. One way to do it may be to creating a container view, with the
actual content subview inside of it (similar to Automator Actions).
2. Another option would be to subclass each view type you have. In
the drawRect method -- call the super's drawRect and then draw your
resize "grab point".
I believe option 1 is a little more versatile, since you don't need
to know what view you're holding.
