nil after using Interface Builder? (n00b)

  • Subject: nil after using Interface Builder? (n00b)

I'm relatively new to Objective-C and Cocoa. I worked through the
Converter tutorial from the ADC site
(http://developer.apple.com/documentation/Cocoa/Conceptual/ObjCTutorial/index.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40000863)
successfully.

In adapting the technoques to my own app (class design, MVC model,
etc), I've ended up with a nil reference to a text label via the
controller class. The outlets connected to the progress bars on the
window are valid references. Is there something typical that a newbie
would overlook whilst using IF Builder for creating classes,
instantiating objects, and connecting outlets?

I realize this is, uh, somewhat vague. I'll post code if requested.

Thanks in advance...
