Xcode Modeler and CoreData Fetch Request

I am curious to know if anyone has found out another way to set a variable for a fetch request besides option clicking the whitespace in the predicate editor? Is there a keystroke that will do this or menu item? It seems a bit counter-intuitive and not very HIG compliant to do it by clicking whitespace
and getting a context menu.
