Modal dialog pauses WebView rendering

  • Subject: Modal dialog pauses WebView rendering

Before I do too much investigating on my own, I thought I'd ask here:

Is there something obvious I can do to "stimulate" a WebView to keep rendering while a modal dialog is being presented? In particular, I update a progress bar in a webview to reflect a network operation's status. While the user is displaying a modal dialog in the application, the progress bar updates stop, although I'm still issuing the DOM-based changes to the web page. When the modal dialog is dismissed, all the queued changes rush in.

I've seen a similar question asked a few times in the archives, but it has a knack for garnering zero responses :)

Hopefully this will break that curse! Thanks,

Daniel
