NSUnarchiveFromDataTransformer - keyed archiver?

It appears that the NSUnarchiveFromDataTransformer always uses the non-keyed coder, but I couldn't find this explicitly spelled out in the documentation. Is this correct? (And by extension, if I need a keyed archiver I should write my own transformer which does so?)
