No, I suppose that should work - I was concerned that there was a
reason addChild didn't use the same creation mechanism as add:, and
that I'd be breaking something important by not doing it the same
way. I'm also just curious why it does things differently for the two
cases.
And it seemed easier to just override new object creation and let the
default controller behavior handle the rest.
