Hi Theodore,

Some others have responded well in pointing you in a good direction. However, if I may state something perhaps very obvious - why don't you just make the white colour transparent (with whatever image editor you use) before loading it with NSImage?If this is possible in your situation, seems to me to be the easiest option.

OK, so I wanted to load an image which had a white background, and treat that white as transparant. Seems reasonable enough, it's a common technique used in gif and many file formats.
