The Problem with WO is that I don't want to also learn Java. I'm happy with Objective-C, and if WO was still Obj.C based, I'd probably take this route. Since I'm not bothering with Java, I'm going the SQL route. I have the same advantages that WO has in that I can easily write a web front end (in PHP) that'll interface with the exact same database.

You'll save more time learning Java, which is a trivial language to learn after using Objective-C, and using WO than you will with PHP, which is a giant mess of poorly designed APIs built on top of a very ugly scripting language. EOF runs circles around PHP's database management tools.

Language is such a very small part of the problem. It is all about the APIs and infrastructure.

Unless, of course, your needs a very simple and you already know PHP. "If all you have is a hammer..."
