Hi,
I understand from reading the QT Docs on RTP protocols, I see a lot of
referencing to
high quality audio and video streaming, but see NO mention of VOIP
applications or
the use of QT for VIOP conversations, once the SIP has established and
connected
the two clients.
It seems that after I've spent considerable time looking over the QT API's,
it appears QT is focused more on Video and Movies. Can QT also be used for
VIOP streaming for net phone applications? If so, is there any example
code
or guidelines on how to do this?
We want to use SIP for call setup, and RTP for voice quality 8k/sec
samples either
using G711 or GSM compression.
Does anyone know if anyone has any sample source code on how to use QT for
VOIP applications?
I know of oPhone-x, but I hear it's just a cocoa "wrapper" around a
shell driven
GUI and they use H323. But does RTP replace H323? Currently looking for
mailing list discussions on this technology. Can anyone offer any
pointers to a
good mailing list for discussion of said technologies. I know of
X-Lite but
they don't offer it in source form. Does anyone know of any Open Source
SIP phones using RTP for the connected phase?
I know a host of new source code was released at WWDC, and I've been
looking,
but so far, I haven't found anything, but I only have gone through a
small portion,
as there is a lot of new code.
Is there anyone else working on this?
John
