Document Icon for Cocoa Application

  • Subject: Document Icon for Cocoa Application

Hi,
I am trying to give my Cocoa application a document icon, so when a user saves a file in my app, the file will have an icon that matches it instead of the generic paper icon that the Finder gives to files that it doesn't know about. My application is a non-document based app. I added an entry into the Document Types section of the Target Info Window of XCode 1.5. I Added a name, an extension, an OS Type, and typed in the name of the icns file that I want it to use for its icon in the icon file column. I have included the icon in my project, but none of this seems to work. Also, the Finder does not recognize the filetype that I have created for my application (.pmproj). Do I need to register my application file format and icon with the Finder to get it to work?
