newbie - multiply error

Hi there,

ok, so this may sound like a really stupid question, but how do you multiply two numbers together?
heres the equation:
[NSNumber numberWithInt:(charHeight*inc)]
however, when I build and run, I get the error "invalid operands to binary"....

Any Ideas?
