contextual menu question (newbie)

  • Subject: contextual menu question (newbie)

I have 3 customViews in my cocoa Application window. I need to attach the same contextual menu to eachof the views.

After reading the documentation, i dragged an NSMenu from the IB pallette to the class view, and changed the menu items, and controlled dragged the menu to each view and set it as a menu. The menu appears alright when i right click in each view.

When i set the menu items to a particular action in a view, i only seem to be able to connect each item to a single action in a single view (when each of my 3 views, need the menu item connected to the same action).

I guess my questin is this... Do i have to create 3 seperate identical contextual menus for each view in IB, and do the same connections for each view ? it seems painfully redundant, and so i was wondering if there is a better way of implementing contextual menus in this case.

Cheers,
Aaron.
