Well, I know of a couple of other cocoa people in Sydney who are
considering starting a users group.
Anyone else in Sydney that's interested?
Anyone know of a contact at Apple Australia I could email to see about
setting up a users group?
At this point, I'm going to assume that you're a registered Apple
Developer. If not, the first thing you should do is go to
developer.apple.com and register.
There was a recent 'about Tiger' event in Sydney that was publicised to
developers registered from Australia. 4 Apple evangelists attended to
preview / discuss Tiger technology. It was quite informative, and useful
even if you're not yet developing for Tiger.
A quick look at the Apple (AU) web site failed to reveal a developer
contact, so I suggest you ring Apple Computer Australia (133 622) and ask
for the developer liaison's e-mail. Such a person does exist and is quite
active, though I don't have her exact title or e-mail to handle.
http://developer.apple.com/contact/ also has a specific button to contact
ADC Australia.
