I have an NSTableView in a split view ( with an NSTextView ) in my application main window.
Mostly the table view behaves like a normal table view. Occasionally, when I scroll the table, it becomes a blurred mess !
Are you setting a non-integral frame anywhere?
I've seen this too, but never in panther – I've never figured out exactly what causes it. Looks like it's time for a bug report.

I've seen this even in Apple's apps - notably Address Book when you scroll the card view. Seems to be a bug in scroll view and similar types of view and I reported it for 10.2 but it is still there even in 10.3.8 (although it's less common).
