Skills needed for agile software development are in high demand:
design-patterns and refactoring, writing automated unit tests and
acceptance tests, test-driven-development (TDD), domain-driven-design,
evolutionary design, iterative/incremental planning and scheduling,
and so on.
Most agile SW development is in Java [note that there are about 4
books on TDD in Java], with C# [2 TDD books] coming in second, and
other languages third place or lower.
It's so hard to find "agile" testers with programming skills that most
agile teams have to teach programming skills to their testers because
they can't hire a testers with the necessary programming skills.
My team needs testers who can write code (Cocoa/Carbon MacOS X) Please
send your resume to me off-list if you're interested.
