There are also people with carpel tunnel, trying to support three kids
and a spouse, who may need keyboard customization to avoid making
their condition worse....

That's not my condition, but I have some imagination and empathy, as
well as knowing people who've had RSI problems -- which are fairly
common in Silicon Valley's programmer population and surprisingly
common in SV's ex-programmer population, who you often find working in
various service industries and retail.

I would recommend QuicKeys, and would ask Apple to improve it's
scripting/automation support, but if you have users requesting certain
features, it may *not* be because they are "spoiled".
