Apple's tutorials (e.g Currency Converter) are really easy to understand and quite helpful too. Also, cocoadev.com, cocoa-dev archives, macdevcenter.com, are some that I like.

Well, personally Apple's tutorials didn't give me much, but the first book on the list (Hillegass, 2nd ed.) worked fine for me. Though, if you have no experience in C programming, you'll want a good book on C, too. I personally learned C with the first (dead-tree) edition of "Learn C on the Macintosh" by Dave Mark. There's a new edition for OS X out these days, and I'd recommend you get that (That would be what? 3rd edition?). It's an e-book, though.

Some people also recommend Kernighan and Ritchie's "The C programming language" (aka K&R), but I wouldn't know -- I've only used that as a reference so far.

There's a great page with a list of books at http://www.cocoadev.com that you may want to consult.
