I've thought of doing things like enlarging the sheet vertically (with
animation) to add more questions. I think there are some commercial apps
that do that in standard file open or file save sheets -- maybe Photoshop or
Word, or some other very complex application. I would shy away from doing it
on the general advice (in the HIG, I think) that sheets should normally be
kept relatively uncomplicated.
I think I did see something in the HIG specifically advising against using
tabs in sheets, though, which is pretty much what you're asking. (Invisible
tab view items are a common way to implement switching views.)
