Tiger gcc 4 builds apps that don't run on 10.2.8

Hi All,
I've rebuilt my application on Tiger with gcc 4.0 and went to run it on 10.2.8 for a sanity check and it no longer launches. I get a console message to the effect 'can't find library libmx'. Is this a known issue or is there some magical way to get it to compile 10.2.8 compatible binaries again? It seems like a major oversight not to check this sort of thing.

Thanks in advance!
Will
